Aroma – Cassis

Cassis is the French word for blackcurrant berries.

The Cassis aroma is typical of red wines, particularly the ones made of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is very common to find this aroma in the wines from the Bordeaux region, where the grape Cabernet Sauvignon is predominant in the blends.

This particular aroma can be found in other grape varietes, such as Carignan, Carménère, Grenache, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Monastrell, Syrah/Shiraz, Tempranillo and Tannat.AROMA-PEAR
