This is the 4-stars OTOP estate fruit winery, nestled in the U Long Tea plantation on the outskirts of the beautiful Rak Thai Valley. The family farm is made up of four generations living and working together to produce products of the highest standard, whether it be wine, fresh market fruit, raw honey or custom milled lumber.8011_mae_hong_son_wild_sunflower_field_mae_hong_son
Because of the large family and insistence of good quality, they do all the work themselves. Having the generational span from a 1 year old to a 74 year old truly creates a unique living and working environment. While it comes with its occasional challenges, the upsides of having the diversity of opinions and insights far outweigh the difficulty of an occasional disagreement!
The 80 acres of plums, pineapples, jackfruits and other local fruits are grown on site, making the largest cultivated fruits farm in all of Mae Hong Son.
As well, they handle all pollinating in the vineyard with their own bees, which provides the unique signature Jackfruit Honey and a fine selection of Meads. In all the operations they strive for organic practices and preservation of the land, air and waterways.
Waterfall-Thailand_20090302110409In the areas where the place requires a few more hands they employ a crew of laborers. They live on site for seven months of the year and are always an anticipated addition to the spring work force.
Currently, they have four years of wine sales and several domestic awards under the belt and with greater experience and insight they are constantly developing and improving the wine style. The experiences they can offer at the resort have also grown in leaps and bounds since opening. With the addition of a wood-fired, patio bistro and an open “barn” style event space where they can accommodate groups for weddings and events.
